What is the difference between Hoffman Boots and others?

Hoffman Leather Boots are built with the finest materials available. From the quality 7-8oz. heavy duty oil tanned leather uppers to our unique dual steel shank system found in our lineman boots, all of the material used are the best. The other major difference is the fit of the Hoffman Boots. These boots are designed with a supportive fit to allow all day comfort and support.

What is the life expectancy of these boots?

There are too many factors to define how long our boots will last for each customer but rest assured every pair of Hoffman leather boots are built to take a beating. If you ever wear the soles of the boot out, you can send the boots in to be resoled at around a third of the cost of a new pair.

Are they waterproof and what do I treat the leather with?

Our Hoffman leather boots are made with our heavy duty 7-7 1/2 oz. oil tanned leather and are highly water resistant. With a waterproofing treatment like Hoffman Premium Dressings, the water resistance of the leather uppers increases dramatically. In extremely wet conditions a seam sealer like our seam sealant can be used to seal all of the seams. Some boots do contain either a Gore-tex or a Sympatec liner which help keeps water out.

Where are they manufactured?

Most boots are manufactured here in the United States.

How do I know what size to order?

Hoffman Leather Boots are available in whole and half sizes with widths and are sized to incorporate a good quality mid-weight boot sock.

Does your boots come in different heights and what is best?

The height of the boot comes down to personal preference. We sell a 10", 12” and a 16" heights equally well depending on the styles and what heights are offered.

Are your steel toe boots ASTM / EH approved?

All steel and composite toe boots meet the current ASTM standard. Only the boots listed as EH approved meet this standard.
