If you are looking for a lightweight, waterproof lined 8" boot, the Danner Pronghorn Calk just may be the ticket. We've taken the popular Pronghorn boot and added our replaceable calk sole to it.. An EVA cushioned mid-sole and cushion insole add to the comfort of this lightweight boot. Also available with Regular soles. Check with your local OSHA rules if operating a chain saw. Note: Even though this boot has a waterproof bootie, once calked, neither Danner or Hoffman's will warranty the waterproofness of the boot. Styles may vary from picture!

    very comfortable boot, but not waterproof in really wet conditions.

    Light weight is not a term often referred to when discussing caulks. This is a trade off off in durability for weight. I buffed my last pair with a sander and seam-gripped the whole toe and stitches, and got two years of hard field work out of them. I don't like heavy boots, so I'll keep buying these.

    I have only been wearing these boots for a month, but so far am very impressed. I am doing a thinning project on very steep Terrain and bought these boots after a couple of falls with a saw running wide open. Also we have had 46 inches of snow in the last month. The boots have kept me warm and dry but most of all safe and working.
