Hoffman Guide

SKU GUIDE
Hoffman's has developed a new, lighter weight hunting boot that has all the features that a true hunting pac should have. First, we've added our new "sure-grip" outsole to our Guide that provides excellent traction in all types of terrain. The flexible outside lugs provide lateral stability on steep ground while the center air bobs grip to just about everything. The durable but lighter weight waterproof rubber bottom keeps the wet out while offering support and all day comfort and is rebuildable for years of service. Hoffman's has added our premium 7 oz. oil tanned leather upper for years of service. The contour leather upper is cut to fit your leg better than other pacs do and comes in 10", 12" and 14" heights. A removable thinsulate/wool/cambrelle liner offers warmth and comfort for those who dare to go where only Mother Nature was intended. If you're looking for a hunting pac for the not so great outdoors or just a winter style boot that will keep you warm and dry, try a pair of our new Guide boots.

I love these boots. I’m not a logger, lineman or hunter; just someone who lives in a cold locale and needs warm footwear for outdoor recreation and around-town wear. Hofmann Guides are far and away the most comfortable rubber-leather pacs I’ve ever worn. The leather uppers are absolutely gorgeous, the steel shank-strengthened rubber bottoms give outstanding support for side hilling and the “sure-grip” soles provide excellent traction in most conditions and seem to even grip ice well due to a relatively soft rubber compound. The brass eyelets and lacing hooks are works of art in themselves. I had the extra pleasure of buying my Hoffman’s at the factory when I drove through Kellogg and meeting the owner and watching Hoffman’s fine staff of American artisans assemble my boots. What a great experience. Two comments: First, I bought the 12” models and now wish I’d bought the 14” ones because they’d keep snow out better without gaiters and the uppers are so comfortable it would feel good to have even more of that wonderful leather around my leg. Second, I’d say the Guide model is best suited formoderate cold – say, no colder than 15-20 degrees inactive and down to 0-10 if active – but definitely add additional insulated insoles to block cold coming up from the ground. Hoffman Guides are highly recommended to anyone needing a comfortable, supportive, great looking boot for moderately cold and wet or snowy conditions. Charlie Winthrop, WA
