Less bulky than traditional felt pacs, our Thinsulate Pacs are an ideal boot for a wide variety of outdoor activities, weather conditions and terrain. Our Hoffman Thinsulate Pacs have many outstanding features that set them apart from other pac-style boots. Our contour leather uppers are made with premium 7 oz. oil tanned leather, cut to fit the curvature of your leg, providing you with outstanding comfort and support. A removable liner quilted with Thinsulate/wool and cambrelle is added to provide warmth and cushion without adding bulk to the boot. Solid brass eyelets and hooks provide long wearing, no hassle lacing. While other companies seem to be lessening the quality in their rubber boots, Hoffman's new waterproof rubber bottom is simply the toughest on the market. Hand made with pure, natural rubber with layers of polyester and polyamid materials to resist cracking, this rebuildable rubber bottom will take the punishment of the steepest, rockiest terrains around. A steel shank is added for extra arch support and won't crack or break down like fiberglass shanks. Hoffman's also offers five sole choices, depending upon the conditions you're accustomed to hunting or working in. Each sole can be replaced when worn out without replacing the rubber bottom or, if necessary, the entire rubber bottom can be replaced. This is another value added feature that Hoffman's provides.
Sole Options
Air-Bob: The original Air-Bob sole features air pockets in each of
the sole's nipples that allow it to flex or "bob" up and down. This
action helps keep the sole clear of mud and snow while providing cushion
with each step...an excellent traction sole for all terrains.

Claw-Lug: The Claw-lug sole features our silent 4-way traction
system for outstanding grip. The side stabilizer lugs give extra lateral
support on sidehills while the center air bobs provide excellent
traction...a good all-around sole.

Predator: The Air-bob sole is renowned for its superior gripping
ability. Now we've taken the Air-bob sole and added removable ice
spikes to assure the best footing possible in the most adverse
weather conditions. Under normal conditions, the ice spikes can be
removed and replaced with fill-in plugs that are provided with each
pair.

Predator Extreme: Our most aggressive design thus far, the Predator
Extreme adds an additional two rows of ice spikes to the arch
area of the boot. Normally when walking, the area in front of the heel
is a hazard area for sticks and brush. This tread design helps minimize
the area from which most falls originate.
